Use Vinren from your AI assistant
Manage your rentals by asking an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT. List a property, review applications, answer maintenance requests, record rent and more, in plain words. Everything still shows up on the website too.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant
- In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector (also called an MCP server) with this address:
https://www.vinren.com/mcp - Your assistant opens Vinren. Sign in, or create an account, then choose Allow.
- Ask away, for example: "What needs my attention on Vinren?", "List my Oak Street house for $1,850 a month", or "Approve the application from Jordan with a move-in date of June 1".
You can disconnect an assistant at any time in Account Settings.
Building your own agent
Vinren speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) over HTTP. Two ways in:
- An API key. Create one in Account Settings and send it as Authorization: Bearer <key> to https://www.vinren.com/mcp.
- No browser at all. Your agent can create an account or sign in at https://www.vinren.com/mcp/public. Vinren emails the person a 6-digit code; once they give it to the agent, it gets an API key.
What still happens in your browser
A few steps need you personally, so your assistant gives you a one-time link (valid for 10 minutes) that opens them on Vinren:
- Verifying your identity and bank account with Stripe, so rent can reach you.
- Paying rent or a deposit by card or bank. Paying by bank transfer to your rental's account numbers needs no link.
- Saving the card Vinren bills for Vinren Pro and online rent collection.
Same account, same prices
Your assistant works with your normal Vinren account. It can do what you can do on the website, nothing more, and pricing is exactly the same. It asks you before anything that is hard to undo, like approving an application, issuing a refund or deleting a property.
